Diri-Baba is the unique two-storied Mausoleum-mosque monument of the 15th century.  There are numerous legends and mystical details connected with the landmark have then attracted plenty of curious visitors since the 17th century. The originality of the structure is that the tomb was built into a rock which an impression that it is suspended in the air (Source: Newbound, n.d.). Pretty interesting, huh?

At the entrance of the Diri Baba.

Similarly to the Chinese tradition, 8 is considered a auspicious number. Therefore, if you take a closer look at the design of the window panels, there are a total of 8 edges in each shape.

The blankets and pillows seen on the on right belong to the homeless people who seek shelter at the mausoleum-mosque.

Bal Honey House

Silk cocoons, honey, saffron, mulberry leaves and home-made cheese are what kept the farmers in Azerbaijan financially afloat during the covid-19 pandemic. Did a honey-making workshop and brought a bottle of my hand-made honey back! (Source: ICRC, 2020) 👍

Moving on to the next place >>>

A long hanging bridge on the way to Lahic, Ismaiili. The bridge were rickety and sway dangerously in the wind but it is made of solid steel.

Qabala

With my tour guide at the nearby Sahil restaurant.

Had a great lunch as well! The fish was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, taste good!

Saw a group of people trying to catch a fish and they did it! The place was pretty chill and relaxing. Food was great and I had an amazing time exploring the place with my tour guide. ☺️

Will continue the rest of the day in the next page! >>>
