DAY 9
Ananuri Fortress Complex

Saint Nino was the one who began preaching Christianity in Georgia during the 4th century and became the most respected and honored saints of the Georgian Orthodox Church. Today, the Bodbe Monastery serves as a nunnery and a shrine for the relics of Saint Nino (Source: folkways, 2017).

GUDAURI

According to Wiki Travel, “It is a mountain ski resort in Georgia, situated on the south-facing plateau of the Greater Caucasus Mountain Range at an elevation of 2200 m above sea level with skiable area enjoying maximum exposure to the sun” (Source: Wikitravel, 2021).
A video of me 2,600 meters high from the sea level, glading through the mountains. The view is really really pretty from above.

The Gudauri friendship monument also known as treaty of Georgyevsk Monument. During 1783, the east Georgia king swore allegiance to the Russian emperor in return for protection and the support for the reigning Bagrationi dynasty. However, when the Persian ruler Agha Mohammad Khan seized the Georgian kingdom, the Russians did nothing to help. So much of a “friendship”, I guess (Source: atlasobscura, n.d.)?

Dinner at📍Natakhtari Veli Restaurant to wrap up Day 9.
DAY 10
Sulfur Baths

Sulfur bath is very famous in Tbilisi hence, I spontaneously went down to gave it a try. Little did I know, you have to be completed naked in the bathing area… awkward.. I would not have gone if I knew this is the practice 😰

My experience was not so great as it was packed with naked people inside. I gave their signature scrub a try and it was too much for me to handle…. 😰

Took a walk around the area and then headed back to the hotel.
DAY 11
River Cruise

Next day, met up with my tour guide to go for a River Cruise.
