Day 3

Sitori-i-Mokhi Khosa

This palace is located 4km away from Bukhara to the north. It was the countryside residence of Bukhara Emirs for a while. The climate in the palace is different (never hot) due to the ancient method of locating the sites (Source: Centralasia, n.d).

The picture above is, Emir Sayyid Mir Muhammad Alim Khan. The last Amir ruler of the Uzbek Manghit dynasty.

He will be seated at the top of the pavilion to watch the females bathe (the pool below). If any of them caught his attention, she will become his mistress. Very interesting history haha

Lunch time with Mr Umarxon 😋

Went back to make dinner together >>>

The final product!!! Mr Umarxon and his family have extremely good cooking skills. So glad to be learning a thing or two from them.

Day 4

Drove down to the lake nearby to visit one of Mr Umarxon’s friend there.

And yes, its me eating again. But its a meal with a view.

Day 5

And, its my birthday today! Served with wonderful breakfast to start off the day.

Fayzulla Khujayev House Museum

Faizulla’s family house is located in the famous quarter of Bukhara called, Gozien. He was the leader of Hasidism-maecenas as well as a figurehead for equal rights.

My birthday request was to ride a camel and it came true thanks to Mr Umarxon. It cost only $1 for 5 mins.

Mr Umarxon and his family prepared a birthday feast for me. Felt so loved and warmed. Thank you, i will never forget my birthday this year.
